Horace Fisher, Gleaner Writer

Gunmen invaded the May Pen Hospital last night and shot and killed 37-year-old Adiff Washington, who was recuperating from an earlier shooting incident.

Washington was shot and injured on Sunday, after reporting to the Milk River’s Police Station on condition of his bail.

It’s reported that he was charged for murder and kidnapping.

Washington’s family who spoke to The Gleaner admitted that the entire family is traumatised and terrified at their sibling's gruesome killing.

Washington’s cousin, Geraldine Morgan said that she got a call around midnight on Monday, that Adiff was shot and injured.

Morgan said that someone told her that the shooting took place during Monday’s night football match.

She said the family has not heard from the hospital.

It's reported that officials from the Jamaica Constabulary Force, Southern Regional Health Authority, and the Clarendon Parish Council are now locked in a meeting at the hospital.
