Another murder in Trelawny

Residents of Salt Marsh, Trelawny this morning woke up to another murder in the parish - the fourth in five days.


Twenty-one-year old Nicolas Chambers, a life guard employed to the Coyaba Hotel in Montego Bay was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his head and chest in the community of Greenside near Salt Marsh.

Chambers was found lying on his bathroom floor by a neighbour who went to visit him.

Residents told The Gleaner/Power 106 News that at about 1.30 this morning they heard loud explosions.

However, it was not until about 7 a.m when Chambers’ neighbour went to visit him that he discovered a window broken and the front door of the house kicked in.

Further investigations revealed that Chambers had been killed.
