Curfew continues in Duncans, Trelawny

A curfew has been imposed in Duncans, Trelawny following another murder in the parish yesterday morning.

The curfew which began at 7 p.m. will remain in effect until 6 p.m. tomorrow.

Yesterday, a neighbour found 21- year-old Nicolas Chambers, a lifeguard employed to the Coyaba Hotel in Montego Bay, dead at his house in Salt Marsh.

On Friday, eight-year-old Imani Green was shot and killed while with relatives at a shop in Duncans.

On Monday, two men were shot, one fatally in the same community.

Following those shootings, the police imposed a curfew, but no one was caught in the police drag net.

This latest curfew encompasses areas along Duncans Bay, Prospect main road, Spicy Hill, sections of the North Coast Highway, Log Wood Walk and Crawle.

The police are reminding residents that during the hours of the curfews all persons within the boundaries are required to remain within their premises, unless otherwise authorised in writing by the member of security forces who is in charge of enforcing the curfew.
