Hospital nurse killed in St Mary

2013-01-17 12:19:18 | (0 Comments)

Cabrina Lennon, Gleaner Writer

The shooting death of a nurse in Port Maria St. Mary last night has sparked a protest in front of the Port Maria Hospital.

It’s understood that Shellion Lafayette, a mid wife at the Annotto Bay Hospital also in St. Mary, was shot in the neck while driving home.

The residents are now protesting over poor road conditions and the lack of street lights in the area where the mother of two was killed.

They say she might have been better aware of her surroundings had there been street lights along the roadway.
