Ferguson to visit hospital staff

Minister of Health, Dr. Fenton Ferguson says he will be visiting the staff of the Annotto Bay and Port Maria Hospitals, as well as the family of a nurse Lafayette who was murdered last night.

He is urging persons with information on her murder to come forward and assist the police in their investigation.

The health minister said counselling will be provided to the patients and staff at the Port Maria and the Annotto Bay hospitals, especially coming so quickly after the shooting at the May Pen Hospital earlier this week.

The Minister has also expressed condolences on behalf of the Ministry of Health to the nurse’s family.
