The police in Trinidad have taken a 33-year-old Jamaican woman in custody in relation to the killing of a Jamaican man on Tuesday.

The victim has been identified as 24-year-old Michael Williams, from Clarendon.

Reports out of Trinidad said he was stabbed in the chest with a kitchen knife.

The police say the woman, who is from Kingston, was detained after she was seen walking on the roadway with blood on her clothes.

She is said to be the mother of the deceased one month-old twin daughters.

The police say Williams was stabbed after he was accused of being unfaithful to the suspect.

His relatives say Williams and the suspect were both employed as security guards at separate firms.

The Trinidadian police are continuing their investigations.
