Falmouth Police Station to open soon

2013-01-29 13:05:02 | with audio | (0 Comments)

Richard Morais, Gleaner Writer

The new police station in Falmouth Trelawny will be opened shortly.

Minister of National Security Peter Bunting said the new facility will house a Mobile Reserve unit and offer other police services.

He said some units have already moved in to the station.

Bunting said some area operations will also be based at the new facility.

The new Falmouth police station is adjacent to the Trelawny Parish Library and the old police station on Rodney Street.

Ground was broken for the station in October 2001 by former Minister of National Security K.D. Knight.

It was completed last month.
