Policeman killed in St Catherine

2013-01-30 08:49:31 | (0 Comments)

A police man was killed in Portmore St. Catherine last night.

His identity has not been released.

However, the Constabulary Communications Network has confirmed that the member of the Island Special Constabulary Force was shot and killed in Grange Lane.

Our news centre understands that the cop, who lived in Morris Meadows in St. Catherine, was on his way home when he was reportedly stopped by persons dressed in police uniform and then shot.

The policeman is said to be assigned to a police station in the Corporate Area.

He is the second member of the Island Special Constabulary Force to be killed by the gun since the start of the year.
