St Elizabeth cop dies from Chevy's bullet

2013-02-01 09:17:02 | (0 Comments)

The police say the bullet removed from the body of the policeman killed in St. Elizabeth last week is the same calibre as the weapon allegedly taken from a civilian who was killed in the incident.

Special Constable Troy Foster was killed on duty in Malvern, St. Elizabeth last Thursday.

The police say the .45 warhead is the same calibre as the weapon that was taken from Tyrone Edmond, the man who is alleged to have murdered Foster in the incident.

Edmond, who is otherwise called ‘Chevy’, of a Kingston address,  was before the courts for a murder committed in Top Hill, St. Elizabeth in 2010.

The matter is being investigated by the Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM).
