Illegal firearm seized, man arrested

A police operation on St John's Road, St Catherine resulted in the seizure of an illegal firearm this morning.

One man was taken into custody in connection with the seizure.

The identity of the man is being withheld pending further investigations.

It's reported that about 9.30 a.m., police personnel were on patrol when they saw a man acting suspiciously; he was searched and a .357 magnum revolver taken from him.
