Man, woman killed in separate St Catherine incidents

A man was shot and killed while a woman's throat was slashed in separate incidents in Spanish Town, St Catherine last night.

The dead man has been identified as Oneil Ormsby, a businessman of Federal Road in the parish.

It's reported that about 8.30 p.m., Ormsby was at his business place when he was approached by a gunman who shot him repeatedly.

He died on the spot.

Meanwhile, the woman's throat was slashed at her home along Valdez Road in Homestead, St Catherine.

Her identity has not been released.

It's alleged that residents heard cries for help and summoned the police. Upon arrival they found the woman's body lying on the floor with the throat slashed.
