Another attempt is to be made today by lawyers representing dancehall entertainer Vybz Kartel to secure bail for the embattled deejay.

The bail application is being made in relation to the Clive ‘Lizard’ Williams murder case.

The lawyers have failed in previous attempts to get bail for Kartel.

They are to appear before a judge in chambers at the Supreme Court this afternoon to make another case for bail.

Kartel, whose real name is Adidja Palmer, has been in custody since September 2011.

He has been granted bail in relation to his other murder case and a conspiracy matter but he cannot take up the offer because of the Williams murder case.

It is alleged that Williams was killed at Kartel’s home in Havendale, St. Andrew, on August 16, 2011 after he and another man were taken to the entertainer’s house to account for a lost firearm.

Williams’ body has not been found.
