Rasbert Turner, Gleaner Writer

The Spanish Town police are searching for a group of gunmen who robbed a restaurant in Greendale this morning.

Reports are that about 7 o'clock the operator of the Fish Pot Restaurant had just opened the establishment when three armed men held them at gunpoint.

The men then removed a chest with money.

After going outside the men left the chest and escaped on foot in the area.

An alarm was made and police personnel along with Hawkeye security responded.

The chest has since been returned to its rightful place.

Investigations are underway in the matter.
