Commentators Martin Henry and Kevin O’Brien Chang have joined in calling for details when Prime Minister Portia Simpson Miller and Finance Minister Dr Peter Phillips address the nation tonight.

The Prime Minister and Dr Phillips recorded their message yesterday to be aired on Power 106FM at 9 o’clock tonight.

In a release on Friday, the Jamaica Information Service said the Prime Minister and Dr Phillips will update the nation on the status of the negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Both Henry and Chang say they are anxious for specifics.

On February 5, an IMF staff mission arrived in Jamaica for further talks towards concluding a new agreement with the Government.

The IMF team departs on February 15.

The Government is now finalising for approval, a submission for a four-year extended fund facility following the completion of prior actions to be agreed on.
