NewsUnavailable witnesses stall Vybz Kartel murder case2013-02-11 18:31:50 | (0 Comments) ![]() Dancehall artiste Vybz Kartel Kartel, Lenburgh McDonald and Nigel Thompson are charged in relation to the killing of St. Catherine businessman Barrington ‘Bossy’ Burton. However the trial could not proceed because of the unavailability of witnesses. The court was told that the witnesses are refusing to co-operate with the prosecution. The trial was then rescheduled to May 27. The prosecution says it's now exploring other avenues such as applying for the witness statements to be entered into evidence, should the witnesses fail to appear. Kartel and his co-accused were charged in October 2011. The police say Burton was murdered while he was standing with friends along Walkers Avenue in Gregory Park, St Catherine in July 2011.
