The Civil Aviation Authority is expected to provide its report on the December 2009 accident involving an American Airlines flight to the US National Transportation Safety Board by February 25.

Several persons were injured after the aircraft overshot the runway at the Norman Manley International Airport in Kingston.

Director General of the Jamaica Civil Aviation Authority, Lieutenant Colonel Oscar Derby, said the Authority met with the US body recently and committed to providing the final document by February 25.

Investigators say the speed of the aircraft upon landing and the weather contributed to the crash.
