Rasbert Turner, Gleaner Writer

The trial of the two brothers charged with the murder of media personality Christine Hewitt-Gordon has been put off until February 20.

Wordsworth Gordon and his brother David appeared in the St Catherine Circuit Court today.

However, the case could not proceed because the witnesses were absent.

About 8.30 p.m. on June 29, 2006 Hewitt's burnt body was discovered in a Toyota Town Ace along the Freedom Main Road near Riversdale, St Catherine.

Investigation led by Detective Inspector Paul Thomas led to the brothers being arrested and charged with murder.

Their bail has been extended until February 20.
