Former Chief Justice Lensley Wolfe hospitalised after collapsing

Former Chief Justice Lensley Wolfe has been hospitalised after collapsing on Friday.


A source close to the family told The Gleaner that Wolfe, who fell ill at a function, has been under going a battery of tests, but indicated that nothing amiss has been found.

“Everything seems fine at the stage,” the source told The Gleaner.

"The tests are ongoing although he is stable.”

Wolfe who served as Chief Justice from 1996 to 2007, preceded the current Chief Justice Zaila McCalla.
 
Wolfe also has the distinction of serving briefly as acting Governor General following the retirement Howard Cooke who served for almost 15 years.
