Hackers attack Facebook

The popular social network website Facebook has revealed it was the target of a sophisticated attack by hackers last month.

However, Facebook says it has found no evidence to suggest that any user-data had been compromised.

It is reported that more than one billion people worldwide use Facebook.


The United States-based social network says the attack occurred when its employees visited a mobile developer website that was compromised.

In a blog post yesterday, Facebook said it was not the only company to have been attacked in this way.
