The Government is aiming to have all those who lost their houses during Hurricane Sandy back into their homes by the end of March.

Housing minister Dr. Omar Davies says 260 houses have already been built.

The housing units were constructed in Portland, St. Mary and Thomas, which were hardest hit by the hurricane.

A total of 365 houses were destroyed by Hurricane Sandy in October.

The houses are being built through a collaborative effort between the Housing Ministry, Food for the Poor and the Jamaica Defence Force.
