The Jamaica Chamber of Commerce has officially announced the nominees for its annual awards ceremony to be held at the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel, New Kingston on Thursday, March 21.
The awards celebrate local companies that have excelled in meeting their corporate goals and objectives over the last year, the JCC said in a statement. The awards ceremony, now in its 3st year, features best of Chamber awards in three categories –large, medium and small sized businesses. Nominees in the large business category are: the Jamaica International Insurance Company, Jamaica Biscuit Company and Seprod. Those contending in the medium category are: Cari-Med, Main Event Entertainment Group and Tastee Jamaica Limited. Those selected in the small category are: the Airports Authority, Prism Communications and Credit Info Jamaica. Last year’s winners were Digicel, Spanish Court Hotel and Jamaica Energy Partners in the respective categories On the choice of this year’s nominees, JCC third vice-president Catherine Kennedy said that “as usual, choosing just three companies per category was difficult but I feel we have a fantastic slate of nominees who are all very well deserving.” The theme for this year's ceremony, 'The Next 50…year 1', was chosen by the JCC to symbolize the beginning of Jamaica’s journey towards another 50 years of independence. The JCC said it is aiming to play an integral role as it continues to acknowledge, support and develop local businesses by highlighting their achievements and continue to conduct educational workshops that promote dialogue and solutions on a range of economic issues. business@gleanerjm.com Source: The Gleaner/Power 106 News Send your images, videos and updates to youreport@gleanerjm.com | Click here to Comment Your Comments
