Illegal gun seized, man arrested

A man is now in police custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm in Sligoville, St Catherine this morning.

The identity of the man is being withheld pending further investigations.

It's reported that about 5.30 this morning, police officers were on patrol in the area, where a premises was searched and the weapon discovered.

A.38 pistol was found in the bathroom.
