Retired Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Denzil Boyd was shot and killed at his home in Queensborough, St Andrew this morning.

DSP Boyd was killed as he and his wife made their way home from church.

It is understood that DSP Boyd was stopped by two men who engaged him in a brief conversation as he got out of his motor vehicle at his gate on Candlelight Crescent, off Red Hills Road.

The men reportedly then pulled firearms and shot him several times. The men sped off in a silver Toyota Corolla motor car.
