Fisherman drowns in Old Harbour Bay

The Old Harbour Bay community is mourning the death of a resident who apparently drowned.


Dead is Delroy McBean, a 51-year-old fisherman of Buddo District in Old Harbour Bay, St Catherine.

His son Alrick McBean said his father left for sea on Friday morning at about 9:00 and never returned.

His body was discovered about 7 a.m. today near the Jamaica Public Service power barge in an advanced state of decomposition. Several residents converged on the scene expressing sadness at McBean's passing.

The Old Harbour Bay Police are investigating.
