NewsUS denies plans to remove Cuba from terrorism list2013-02-24 17:57:31 | (0 Comments)
The United States (US)has denied reports that it plans to remove Cuba from a list of countries that support terrorism.
US State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland told reporters in Washington that the report is incorrect and the State Department had no plan to remove Cuba from the state sponsor of terrorism list. She says the list is reviewed annually and when the last review was done, there was no reason to remove Cuba from the list. She says the list will be reviewed again this year. White House spokesman Jay Carney has also said that "there has been no change in the approach or policy to Cuba to announce or under consideration that I’m aware of".
