St Ann video cop murder trial postponed until March 4

2013-02-25 13:23:18 | (0 Comments)

The trial of detective sergeant Lloyd Kelly has been pushed back to next Monday, March 4.

The long-awaited trial was expected to get underway in the Home Circuit Court today but had to be postponed because the court was dealing with another murder case.

Bail for Kelly was further extended.

The policeman is charged with the July 29, 2010 murder of Ian Lloyd, otherwise called ‘Chen-Singh’ in Buckfield in St. Ann.

The shooting was captured on amateur video and was broadcast in sections of the media.

The incident had sparked much public outrage.
