A manhunt is on for ex-Jamaica Defense Force soldier Jason Pryce, who shot and injured his common-law wife and killed her mother in Bryan Hill, Ballard’s River, Clarendon.
The dead woman has been identified as Maxine Fearon. The injured woman, Tamara Fearon, remains hospitalised nursing gunshot wounds. Pryce also used a firearm to hit the father and husband of the women Calvin Fearon on the head. The man told our news centre that on Sunday he and his family were home when the ex-soldier was seen outside the house. He said they became concerned by his presence and called the police. According to him, the police did not respond to their complaints. Fearon said he called a brother-in-law in Kingston who contacted Pryce and asked him to leave. He said the ex-soldier pretended to have left and when occupants attempted to exit the house Pryce pounced on them, opening fire. Maxine died on the spot while Tamara was said to have received nine shots to her body. Pryce then fled the scene.
