More cops arrested after escaped prisoner is recaptured at policewoman’s home

Three more cops were today arrested in connection with the escape of a prisoner from the Freeport lock-up in Montego Bay in late January.

The prisoner was recaptured at the home of a policewoman who has also since been arrested.

The police say one of the cops arrested today is a special constable who works in Montego Bay while the other two work in the Westmoreland Division.

At the time of his escape, the prisoner was facing charges for several crimes in St James, Hanover and Westmoreland.
