The Black River Police destroyed acres of fully grown ganja plant and a quantity of seedlings in the Pondside district in St. Elizabeth yesterday.

The police say the weed was seized during a two-hour operation in the area.

They said the fully-grown ganja plants and more than 250,000 seedlings were burnt.

No one has been arrested in connection with the find.
