The Constant Spring Police in St. Andrew have arrested and charged three persons, in separate incidents, for introducing contraband into a correctional facility.
They are 29-year-old Hysuane Harris of Donmair Close, Kadine Dixon, 28, of Cassava Piece Road, Kingston 8 and 21-year-old Cutie-Ann Spaulding of Stony Hill, St. Andrew.
The police say on Tuesday, February 12, Spaulding allegedly colluded with Dixon, to have a parcel containing a cellular phone, skin lightening products and ganja, delivered to a prisoner at the Grants Pen Police lock-up.
The contraband was detected by police personnel during a routine search.
In another incident, Harris allegedly took food to a prisoner at the Constant Spring lock-up on Sunday, February 24.
The police say the food was searched and a parcel containing ganja was found inside it.
Harris was scheduled to appear in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate’s Court today, while Dixon and Spaulding are to appear on Friday.
