Data provided by the Health Ministry indicate that from January 1 to February 9, there were 237 clinically suspected cases of dengue. The ministry says of the 237 suspected cases 27 were confirmed by laboratory tests. However, there have been no confirmed dengue related deaths since 2013. Five thousand clinically suspected cases of dengue fever with 11 confirmed deaths. The health ministry has been fighting the dengue outbreak since last October. Earlier this month, the ministry received a grant of US$40,000 from the United Nations Development Programme to boost the vector control and dengue prevention programme.
