Cricket: Windies, Zimbabwe face off in Antigua today

2013-03-02 08:13:48 | (0 Comments)

The first of two Twenty20 International matches between World Champions West Indies and Zimbabwe takes place today at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua.

The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m. Jamaica time.

West Indies are enjoying a good run in this format.

After winning the World Twenty20 trophy last October they beat Bangladesh in Dhaka in December and also whipped Australia in Brisbane last month.

The Caribbean side enters the series as the big favourites after sweeping the three-match One-Day series against Zimbabwe.

The squad sees the return of regular captain Darren Sammy who was rested for the three One-Day Internationals.
