Two die in motor vehicle crashes

Two people were killed in separate motor vehicle crashes yesterday.
In the first incident, the Constabulary Communication Network (CCN) reported that 38-year-old Mark Cole of Old Hope Road, St Andrew died as a result of injuries he received in a motor vehicle crash on Sandhurst Avenue, Kingston 6.
Reports from the Matilda’s Corner police are that about 5:50 p.m., Cole was walking along the roadway when he was hit by a Toyota Corolla motor car, which then crashed into a wall. Cole was taken to hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the motor car also sustained injuries and was taken to hospital, where he was admitted.
In the second incident, the CCN said 56-year-old Kenton Hart of Cousins Cove district in Hanover died when he was hit by a Toyota coaster bus on the Industry main road yesterday.
Reports from the Green Island police are that about 8:30 p.m., Hart was riding his bicycle towards Lucea, when the coaster bus, which was heading in the same direction, collided with the rear of the bicycle. Hart was rushed to hospital where he died whilst undergoing treatment.
Investigations continue in both incidents.
