NewsConstruction of new infant school in south Trelawny begins2013-03-03 11:00:01 | (0 Comments)
A $32 million contract has been signed for the construction of the Albert Town Infant School in Southern Trelawny.
The contract also allows for the upgrading of the adjoining primary school. The project is being undertaken by the Jamaica Social Investment Fund (JSIF) through its Community Investment Project and is being funded by the Caribbean Development Bank. The Albert Town Benevolent Society is contributing $4 million to the project. Construction is scheduled to start immediately and is expected to be completed in four months. The scope of the project includes the construction of an infant facility with four classrooms, an administrative area, sanitary facilities, sewerage system and a covered corridor with a play area.
