Escapee recaptured in St Catherine

Thirty-year-old Jason Scott of Damhead, St Catherine, who escaped from prison three years ago is now back in police custody.

Scott was recaptured by the Spanish Town police yesterday, following a search in the Reid's Mountain community near Damhead district.

Scott reportedly jumped the perimeter fence along White Church Street and escaped from the custody of Correctional Officers in February 2010.

At the time of his escape he was serving time for murder.

The police alleged that he has been involved in a number of crimes since his escape.
