3.8 quake rattles Trinidad

A magnitude 3.8 earthquake rattled parts of Trinidad this morning.

However, there were no reports of damage or injuries.

The St. Augustine-based Seismic Research Centre of the Universality of the West Indies, said that the quake occurred at 9.23 am on the Paria Peninsular west of Trinidad.

It said the event was located at 10.66 degrees north and 62.07 degrees west and that it was felt in the capital, Port of Spain and the western Diego Martin area.

Last month, Trinidad was also shaken by two earthquakes with magnitudes of 3.1 and 4.9 respectively.
