Yohan Blake booked for Doha

World 100m champion Yohan Blake has been confirmed for the Samsung Diamond League opener in Doha, Qatar on Friday, May 10.

Blake, who won silver medals in the 100m and 200m at last year's Olympic Games before running the third leg in Jamaica's 4x100m relay world record run, is the first international track and field star to commit to the meet.

Doha, will once again act as the curtain raiser for the 14-meet Samsung Diamond League series.

Blake is the second fastest athlete in history in both the 100m and 200m with times of 9.69 (tied with Tyson Gay) and 19.26 respectively.
