A St. Catherine man who was held with a motor bike that was stolen after a crash is to be sentenced later this month.

He is Andre Golding of Shelter Rock in Spanish Town, St Catherine.

When the matter was mentioned in court, Golding pleaded guilty to receiving stolen property.

He was remanded and is to be sentenced on March 21.

The court heard that in November last year, the complainant was driving his Honda Trail Motor Cycle along the Greendale Main Road when he was hit by a vehicle and later taken to the Spanish Town Hospital.

The bike is said to have disappeared while the injured man was in the hospital.

A report was made and an investigation launched.

Two days later, a search was conducted and the bike was found in Golding's possession.

He was arrested and charged.
