The police are now preparing a case file to be submitted to the Coroner for an inquest to be conducted into the death of former Senior Superintendent of Police Dathan Henry.

Henry died last year after a brief illness. An investigation was launched by the Police High Command.

Yesterday reports surfaced that tests showed the former policeman had been poisoned.

This was confirmed late yesterday by the police who said his death was caused by poisoning from a mixture of chemicals usually found in rodenticides.

The police say the result was confirmed following toxicological analysis of samples taken from the deceased.

The Director of Public Prosecutions has reportedly advised that the case file and all reports be submitted to the Coroner.
