Corporate Area, St Catherine water supply to be disrupted

2013-03-09 13:05:25 | (0 Comments)

Several communities in the Corporate Area and St Catherine will be without piped water for three days starting on Monday.

The National Water Commission (NWC) says the disruption is to allow for development work on the Ferry Hill tank as part of the Kingston Metropolitan Area Water Supply Improvement Project.

As a result, the NWC says operations at the Ferry Hill tank will come to a temporary halt from Monday through to Wednesday.

Among the areas to be affected are sections of downtown Kingston, Spanish Town Road, Marcus Garvey Drive, Duhaney Park Washington Boulevard and Molynes Road.

The NWC says customers in these areas should begin to store water for use.
