Water disruptions to affect Corporate Area, St Catherine

2013-03-11 08:54:32 | (0 Comments)

The National Water Commission (NWC) says over the next three days several sections of the Corporate Area will be without water, as it carries out work on the Ferry Hill Tanks in St. Andrew.

The NWC says starting today the facility will be shut down.

The areas which will be affected include, downtown Kingston, Spanish Town Road and all roads leading off, Duhaney Park, Marcus Garvey Drive, Washington Boulevard and Molynes Road and all roads leading off.

Customers in those areas are being urged to store water for use during the period of disruption.

In the meantime, customers in Windsor Heights who are served by the Central Village Well in St. Catherine will experience a disruption in their service from today to Friday.

The NWC says this is to facilitate extensive maintenance works on the system.

The Commission also says arrangements have been put in place to supply water to the affected communities.
