The Trelawny Police have taken a woman into custody after she allegedly plotted with two men to kill her husband.

The woman, whose name is being withheld, is a prominent businesswoman of Duncans in the parish.

A manhunt is now on to capture the men.

Information from the police is that about 7 o’ clock last evening, the woman contacted a female friend of her husband and held her hostage.

It’s further reported that the businesswoman forced the woman to call her husband to the Burwood beach, near Cooper's Pen.

The husband reportedly turned up at the beach and was robbed by two men.

The robbers allegedly slashed his throat and left him to die.

But he managed to call for help and was taken to the Falmouth hospital by the police.

He is said to be in stable condition.
