Ex-soldier to be charged for murder

The Clarendon Police say charges are to be brought against ex Jamaica Defence Force soldier, Wilbert Pryce for murder, rape and robbery.

Head of the Division, Senior Superintendent, SSP Michael Bailey told The Gleaner/Power 106 that Pryce was pointed out in an identification parade on Saturday in relation to the rape allegation.

SSP Bailey said Pryce is expected to be charged on one count of murder and rape each, as well as two counts of robbery by the end of the week.

The ex-soldier reportedly committed the rape and robbery after shooting his wife and killing her mother on Sunday, February 24th.

A manhunt was launched for Pryce, who later turned himself over to the police after several days on the run.
