NewsClarendon businessman killed2013-03-13 09:00:10 | (0 Comments)
A Clarendon businessman was shot and killed last night by unknown assailants at his business place in the parish.
He has been identified as 68-year-old Winston George Dawkins, who operates a wholesale food store at Swansea in the parish. It's reported that about 9 o’clock last night, the businessman was pounced upon by gunmen as he tended to some chicken at the back of his business place. They reportedly took his licensed firearm and made their escape. A close family member told The Gleaner/Power 106 News Centre that Dawkins had just returned from a weeklong visit to England. Residents of Swansea have condemned his killing, many of them describing him as a good man.
