British woman arrested for drugs

The Transnational Crime and Narcotics Division has arrested and charged a  British woman who was attempting to board a British Airways flight to London.

The police say about 4.30 p.m. yesterday, the unemployed woman of Birmingham, England was arrested for breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act, as she was about to board her flight.

The police say she was stopped and searched and a white powdery substance resembling cocaine was found in her suitcase.

Last night ,they said the weight had not yet been ascertained.

Investigations are still ongoing.
