Christopher Thomas, Gleaner Writer

The brothers, Kerron and Sheldon Brissett, who are charged in relation to the Irwin Point, St. James rape case had their bail extended when they appeared in the Western Regional Gun Court yesterday.

The court was informed that the prosecution’s witness list was not yet ready.

The matter was set for mention on March 25.

The men are being represented by attorney-at-law Lambert Johnson.

Last September, five females including an eight-year-old, were abducted from their home in Irwin Point and raped.

The men were arrested and charged following investigations.

On February 14, DNA evidence excluded the men as suspects in the rape charge.

However, the prosecution indicated it would still take the case to trial.
