| ![]() Food items in a supermarket - file photo Minister with responsibility for Information, Sandrea Falconer, says Cabinet has approved legislation to facilitate the establishment of the single authority. Regulation in relation to Jamaica’s food safety is currently administered by six entities across three ministries. Senator Falconer says the single food safety entity will be responsible for regulating all activity in the food chain.
