New ambulances coming

2013-03-14 13:27:34 | (0 Comments)

Toyota Jamaica has been awarded a contract to provide 17 ambulances for the public health system.

The contract is valued at US$884,323.

The money is being provided through the National Health Fund.

Minister with responsibility for information, Sandrea Falconer, says the new ambulances will help to reduce the demand on the aged fleet and improve the level of responsiveness and service required for emergencies.

She says the emergency vehicles should be delivered within the next four months.
