Caribbean Airlines (CAL) today confirmed that it was forced to make an emergency landing in Puerto Rico after a man, became ill on a flight enroute from Miami to Trinidad and Tobago. CAL said the flight had to be diverted to Puerto Rico due the medical emergency, after the 35-year-old passenger began suffering from complications. CAL's communications manager Clint Williams, said flight BW483 with 91 passengers on board had to be diverted to Puerto Rico on Thursday night, where paramedics and an ambulance were waiting to take the passenger to hospital. Williams said the passenger died on his way to the hospital. He said the passenger was travelling with his father and another brother.
