Four months after Minister of State Ian Hayles was transferred to the Environment and Climate Change Ministry, headed by Robert Pickersgill, Agriculture minister Roger Clarke is yet to receive a replacement.

However, the agriculture minister says despite not having an assistant, his ministry continues to carry out its mandate.

He says that at the right time, he expects the Prime Minster will make a decision on the matter.

When contacted the Office of the Prime Minister was unable to say whether a replacement has been identified.

Hayles was transferred early last December, four months after his relationship with the agriculture minister is said to have soured.
